Our Staff
Angela Mock - Principal
[email protected] I am so very excited to be here in the Swan Valley! My husband and I have been married 31 years and have three adult children, Shelby, Ashley, and Logan; a son-in-law Collin, a soon to be son-in-law Hunter, and an adoptive daughter Keisha. I was born in Great Falls, as were all of my children, and my husband was born and raised in Hot Springs. We have lived outside of Charlo for the past 23 years. This is my 17th year in education as a Special Education Teacher and now Principal. What I have enjoyed the most about being a teacher is having the opportunity to help students of all abilities explore the world we live in. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, dabbling in different arts and crafts projects, and watching movies. As a family we play a lot of board games. Our love of the outdoors has included hunting, fishing, and taking scenic drives around western Montana, including exploring the Seeley/Swan Valley. I love spending my time with my family the most, but also highly enjoy playing horseshoes on the Mission Valley Horseshoe League that I have played on since 2006, and during the winter I enjoy playing cribbage. |
Katie Gleason - Secretary
[email protected] Hi! My name is Katie Gleason and I grew up right here in Condon, MT. My husband, Travis and I have 3 kids; Dakota, Darby and Camden, and a cat named Charlie. We like to go on Jeep rides and swim in the summer and sledding in the winter. I love watching my kids doing anything they love, especially sports and just spending time with them. I love photography, reading and tacos! |
Emma Smith - Paraprofessional
[email protected] My name is Emma Smith. I grew up in Missouri until seventh grade when I moved to Montana with my parents. I've got a chocolate lab named Rune. I'm currently working on my degree while working at the school. I love reading and doing puzzles. I also love food but my favorite food is nachos! I love trying new recipes, and improving my cooking ability. |
Danni Parcell - K-8 Art and Jr. High Writing
[email protected] I was born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan. When I graduated from high school, I moved to Missoula where I worked various jobs to get through college including fighting fires with the U.S. Forest Service. I met my husband fighting fire – he was a smokejumper and I was a “ground pounder”. The kids at school know him as Deputy Bob, since he is the northernmost deputy of Missoula County. We have ten kids, eight of which we enjoyed raising in the Swan. They now live all over the country including Alaska and Hawaii, where we enjoy visiting them and their kids. Besides loving the outdoors, I love to make and design quilts, rag baskets, and cards. I teach preschool, physical education, Jr. high art, and assist with Jr. High math, which is fun since I enjoy teaching kids of all ages! |
Jamie Matthew - 3rd-6th Grade Teacher
[email protected] My name is Jamie Matthew, and I grew up in nearby Seeley Lake, Montana with my 5 sisters and 3 brothers, where my family owns and operates a guest ranch. My husband Jonathan and I have two children, our son Connor and daughter Aubrey. We have 4 dogs including a Newfoundland, two Poodle/Bichon crosses, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy and two cats. Our family loves spending time outside, especially being on the lake on our boat or paddleboards in the Summer, as well as fly fishing on the river. In the winter, I enjoy downhill skiing, knitting, and cooking. One of my favorite things to do when I am not teaching is watching my kids play the sports they love and any other activities that they enjoy. |
Colleen Harrington - Junior High Teacher
charrington@sveschoolmt.com I moved to Montana from Boston to go to college and stayed! I love listening to and playing music, reading, movies, all kinds of outdoor recreation, watercolor painting, soap making, knitting, laughing, spending time with my family, and of course, teaching! I have been involved in education for 25 years, and I feel very fortunate to be the junior high teacher at Swan Valley School. |
Lori McCleerey - Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade teacher
lmccleerey@sveschoolmt.com Hello! My name is Lori McCleerey. My family and I left Iowa in the fall of 2006. When we landed unexpectedly in the Swan Valley in 2007, we knew we found ‘home’ and have never looked back. My husband, Scott, and I were married in 1991 and have two grown sons, Gary and Gregory, a daughter-in-law, Jen, and just recently added twin granddaughters to our family tree. After raising and home schooling our sons, something was missing in my life, and I discovered it was continuing education, teaching, and children! As a life-long learner, I find great joy in building relationships while creating a safe environment where kids can explore, analyze, discover, learn the value of critical thinking skills, collaboration, and making mistakes to find joy in learning about themselves, others, and the world around them. When I’m not in the classroom, my favorite pastimes are spending time with my husband and family, reading, writing, and enjoying the outdoors through quiet reflection time, hiking, kayaking, camping, or hunting with family and friends. |
