Instructional paraprofessional, or a candidate interested in a part-time teaching/part-time paraprofessional role
Nestled between the Swan and Mission Mountains, Swan Valley Elementary School is the heart of a close-knit community with deep roots in Montana’s rural history. Built in the 1950s, our school serves fewer than 40 students, allowing for meaningful one-on-one instruction and strong relationships between students and staff. Life in the valley offers easy access to outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and snowmobiling—making the Swan Valley a true mountain paradise. Swan Valley is a teacher-led school, where each educator takes on shared leadership and administrative responsibilities. Our staff collaborates closely with one another and with our supportive school board to provide students with high-quality instruction and enriched learning experiences. This includes partnering with community volunteers and organizations to bring hands-on, experiential learning opportunities into the classroom. We are currently seeking a caring and committed instructional paraprofessional, or a candidate interested in a part-time teaching/part-time paraprofessional role. We welcome applicants with special skills or interests they can share with students, such as visual arts, music, drama, world languages, outdoor education, physical education, and more.
We offer a very generous benefits package, including a fully district-paid (single) health and dental plan for full-time employees. Candidates eligible for a provisional license will be considered, as will those interested specifically in paraprofessional roles or part-time positions.
Tell us about yourself—we’d love to hear what you can bring to our school community!
The application can be found on the Swan Valley School website under the "careers" tab. Those interested in a paraprofessional position only will complete the district application, a cover letter, and if you wish, letters of reference. For those interested in position that includes certified duties, include the district application, cover letter, resume, unofficial transcripts, copy of teaching license, and three letters of reference.
